Name: Dreamy, here on 1_million_words
LJ age: Right around five years....wow.
What is your Creativity Goal this year: To branch out into more varied kinds of writing, and to play with some interactive fiction. Also to write original stuff and non-fiction (i.e. try to get some web/magazine articles posted).
What is your goal this year beyond that: To run a half marathon in March. I'm not a great runner, and only started in June. It's been inspiring to find I can run at all, and to feel the progress - better breathing, more stamina, being able to run six miles instead of only a tenth of a mile. Today I ran a 10k and, well, it does kind of hurt, lol...but it's a good hurt.
Where in the world are you: NYC
Current Fandom(s): H50 (for writing and for watching the scenery, mostly, the show itself is losing me) SPN (mostly for the scenery), Suits (ditto), Sense8. Liking Jessica Jones but feeling no need to write fic for it.
Earlier/old Fandom(s): Fringe, LOST
Do you Original fic? Some- need to get back to it. Said that last year, too. ;)
Favorite comm(s): This one! Don't really need another.
Gen, Het, or Slash: Slash
Languages you write in:English
Favourite 'go to' movie(s) and why: Oh, gosh...a lot of them. Old school: Casablanca - it's got it all; drama, big stakes world issues, drama, romance. More recent: Love the new Trek movies and also a Star Wars fan, loved the new one.
Favourite movie/TV show genre(s): Sci-fi and Sci-fantasy shows, dramas with strong characters, shows with a very different take on things (did anyone watch Awake? Bummed that one didn't make it).
What inspires you? Nature. The chance to go places and see new things, when I can.
What type of creative project(s) do you find you can do easily: Hmmm...I don't think anything creative comes easy to me. ;). But I guess I write better than I draw or make digital artwork, so I'll go with that.
What type of creative project(s) would you like to get better at: I wish I could draw much, much better than I can.
Coffee, Pepsi, tea, Coke, water, juice, vodka: Used to be coffee but transitioning to tea. Gave up soda for water.
Tell us about your Pet(s): The icon is my Eeeva. Named for the robot in Wall-e. ;)
Do your friends/family encourage you to create? My sister and a friend of mine do, yes - though neither is into fanfic or writing fiction at all - but they're positive and encouraging about it. Another friend is less so, and so I'm at the point where I won't be bringing it up again.
Name a song that always makes you cry like a baby:Not a song, so much. There's a scene in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind that makes me cry because it reminds me of a sudden loss of a friend. And there's E.T., - Eliot losing it as E.T. dies turns me into a frigging puddle.
How's your memory: About events and such, it's really good! Tell me something you want me to remember and ask me about it two years later, and I'll have it for you, no prob. I suppose it's useful, but I'm not sure *how* useful, lol.
Walk, jog, bicycle, car: Walk and jog. No car. Not looking forward to needing to own a car again someday.
I don't think that word means what you think it means: Ha. Sigh. It's so inconvenient, but I have a real mental block about canon vs. cannon. And it's not really that difficult, is it? But I do mix them up on a regular basis.
And lastly, anything else you want to say, or finish with a gif that sums you up: I guess... I can be a little obtuse at times....

Oh, your kitty is adorable! *squishes it*

How's the tea-transitioning going for you? Unfortunately I got back into the coffee habit while staying with my mum over the holidays, so the timer has been reset.

Ahh, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind! Damn, I totally forgot to get my DVD back from my friend when I was there! I'm sorry it brings up painful memories for you though.

Also kudos to you for attempting a marathon!

Eeeva is a sweetie. She also has a thing for attacking feet in bed at 4am. :). Funny bug.

The tea thing is going well! I started a week before the holidays and didn't feel much impact. Maybe a little bit of jitters/irritation, but nothing that made me say 'oh this sucks.' Of course tea has some caffeine - and I only really drank about two cups of coffee per day, maybe three. I do think tea is easier on my stomach. Less acidic, maybe?

And thanks - the race is March 20th. Still only 75% sure I can do it, but I'm going to give it my best shot!

Hah, it's a cat thing. :D

2-3 cups? Pssh, lightweight. I drank buckets of the stuff. But I also noticed it in my stomach and even in my muscles, because it's so acidic! I've managed 2-3 months without last year, but then the cravings kicked back in and I had to buy some. But I decided to start over with the new year. I had cravings on the 4th, but successfully circumnavigated the coffee aisle when I bought groceries!

Well, that's still some time! If it were longer, I'd worry about falling out of the habit in the meantime again.

I loved Fringe but then in Season 4 they had Olivia and Walter in yet another alternate universe, and I remember getting so enraged that I stopped watching--plus I also couldn't stand Lincoln Lee. I should probably go back and watch those last two season just so I can see how it all ended :):)

Oh, you should watch it (she said) - if only to see. I don't know what you'll think of the twist S4 takes, that's the thing. And S5 is entirely different than any of the others.

It's definitely a quirky, imperfect show and there are directions I wish they hadn't gone but..... I do love it more as time goes on. I just started a re-watch. :)

I know! It's probably more like four, going on five now, though. Still, it flies like a jet plane.

I will be writing some different things, for sure - it feels like a transition time, like some of my joy in writing fandom isn't as there. But there will be words, whatever the topic(s)!!!

Thank you - I'm 80%ish sure that I can handle the race. Training starts this week!

And the trip - definitely hoping that we can find dates that work for all. Seems like that'll be the tricky part! I'll be watching the post!
