Sorry to be late with our team's Monday cheerleading post! I somehow managed to forget that this U.S. Labor Day holiday is also.. uh...Monday. That it shares those two things in common and tomorrow is not, in fact Monday but Tuesday. I hope those who celebrate had a chance to enjoy some time with family and friends, or to just kick back. We had a disorganized but happy family day with my siblings and my sister's kids and her grandson. There were home grilled smash burgers, tomatoes and cukes from the garden, kosher deli pickles, and potluck snacks, minor irritations and lot of laughs. Everyone checked in once they got home, and we waved another holiday goodbye.

Now, I'm sending out all the good vibes for you to have a happy, fruitful, well-paced and enjoyable week ahead. Whether you pick up a WIP, start a new story, do some editing, write some RPF or cook up new banners, icons and other digital artwork, I hope you'll find your groove and that state of flow that makes the whole process fun.

I managed to write some three sentence fic last month. Nothing earth shattering, but I'm grateful for it. I have a few more days off, so I think on my walk in the AM I'll consider what crossover I might want to take a shot at. Also on my list are some knitting for holiday gifts and playing with watercolors as I think about holiday cards, too.

Here are some places to visit on the comm for inspiration.

Good luck and have a great week!

Last two days of the challenge!  Just a reminder, the Three Sentence Fic is a challenge where you answer a prompt with a story consisting of only three sentences.  The sentences can be as long or as short as you like and it's open to all fandoms. You could also do the three beat short fics: the story could be five or six sentences, but three beats - 'this happened, that happened, then look what that caused!' So as long as your fic is either three sentences or three 'beats' then it qualifies.  Lastly, you can post your three sentence fics after the prompt or create a new entry here or with links to your journal, which ever works best for you.

46th Prompt:  “Who needs a dream?”

Happy Monday!  How was your weekend?  Hopefully drier than mine has been.  Getting an entire year’s worth of rain over 24-48 hours has been quite an experience for me.  Have to admit that I’m in shock that we’re already in the last week of August.  How’d we get here?  And how are my kittens almost 3 months old?

Reminders:

1. Flash Challenge!  Your flash challenge prompt is: windy.  Give me 100 words or a graphic and I’ll reward you with my undying love and admiration.

2. Last week’s challenges:

Word of the day
Weekend Challenge
A to Z
Numbers

3. Big Buddy is at 68%.  How have you been doing?

4. The Daily Count challenge is almost over for this month!   You can check the schedule here.

5. The current long challenge is Three Sentence Fics.  The rules post is here and check the tag for the prompts posts.  There have been some fabulously fun prompts so far!

For those of you on the southwest part of the west coast, stay safe and dry!  It’s amazing I lived in Houston and never encountered a hurricane… move back to the west and blammo.  Hahaha.  And for those of you on the east coast, I see two tropical storms are gearing up to cause trouble, too.  gearing up to cause trouble, too.

Here’s to an amazing week everyone!
