Happy weekend, everybody! I didn’t have a theme jump out at me this time around so I grabbed a few prompts from a game I have called “Drawing from Memory”. (Don’t worry, you won’t have to draw unless you really want to.) These are 31 very drawable things, ranging from ordinary objects to places to more fanciful things and hopefully they’ll inspire.

Pick a number from 1 to 31 and I’ll give you the corresponding prompt. If you write 200 words or create some art between now and the time the next weekend challenge comes up, I’ll add words to a WIP or write a drabble for you.

Hi everyone! So today was supposed to be my daughter's first Spring Carnival at her elementary school — until crazy thunderstorms and hail came in and the school district cancelled all afterschool events. It will be rescheduled, probably for next week, but in the meantime, I used it as inspiration to put together 25 carnival related prompts.

So pick a number or two or three from 1 to 25, and I will share the prompts with you, in the hopes that something will inspire you.

As always, you have till the end of Thursday anywhere in the world to write at least 300 words or make at least 2 icons or an equivalent. I will then reward you with a drabble, an icon, words in a WIP or eat some yummy food in your honor when the carnival gets rescheduled :)

Good morning!

Happy last week of April! Are you ready for summer yet, or are you lucky enough to live in a place where summer doesn’t start in March? However the weather is in your area, hopefully it’s been conducive to creativity of all sorts. One thing I have to say about our weather here, it's really been encouraging the plants to go wild. Picked my first home grown strawberry on Sunday. Might have a tomato ready to go soon, too.

Greetings comrades!! It’s the last weekend in April, so I decided to do a repeat and go with a more book related challenge. Here’s the scoop: I just finished reading a damn entertaining book, but I'm not going to tell you the title or even the synopsis. I will however give you a quote, either from the top of the page or the bottom. Just choose a page number between 1 and 380, tell me if you want the first line or the last and I will give you a quote/line from the story. If you prefer, I can always chose a random page/line as well.

I hope this craziness inspires you: drabbles/fics can be as long as you want but at least 200 words and you can do any sort of art work the spirit moves you. Just post your work by Thursday night at 11:59pm EST, and you'll be golden, and as for rewards, I can give you a drabble or add to my WIP. I had planned a certain thing for this weekend challenge, but haven't quite rounded it out yet. But in looking at it, I bumped into a pinterest page with a TON of excellent quirky sayings. There are some clunkers, and others we have all seen a hundred times. I'm weeding those out and can share anywhere from one to three to send you as a clue.

I was sorting through old prompts to figure out what to do for this weekend's challenge, and came across 20 song titles with the wind mentioned in the title. I don't know what your weather is doing, and we haven't been too bothered by the wind lately where I am, but this list seemed like a good choice nonetheless!

Happy Monday, how are you doing on this fine day? I was great until I looked at the weather forecast. Right back into the high 90’s this week. As much as I do love the warm weather, it’s a bit early to be courting a hundred degrees.

Not much else going on here. Got all my sprouts transplanted into bigger containers, so here’s hoping I didn’t kill any of them in the process. And one of the plants that my cats decided to snack on seems to be rebounding. The other, well, I’m going to be writing a eulogy here soon, I think. Day 3 and I hope I’ve given you someone new to listen to! The song today is from over a decade ago but I freaking adore it!

It’s called Birthday Girl but it isn’t quite the sweet song you might imagine. Welcome to day 2 – what did you think of the song? Below, you will find the video of his song “Time in a Tree” which is from his second album called “Andy”.

It has a completely different vibe to The Greatest but there’s something about this song that really speaks to me. When I play it, I stop what I’m doing and just listen – it’s a very chill song with a very relaxing feel to it, so hopefully you will get the same feeling as I do.
