Well, considering I didn't start until after midday, I've managed to get quite the chunk done!

I did a review of a Clear Whey Protein that I've been trying, a blog post on my weight loss blog, then I spent some time creating the banners and scheduling the posts for my weekend here in June 2025! I was actually in such a meh mood when I got started but I'm pleased I pushed through and feel quite accomplished.

I've also been feeling creative in other ways! Beneath the cut is a picture of my middle daughter, Da Boss, in the hat and infinity scarf I made for her! I haven't knitted in ages but got the hankering, so the scarf is knitted in knit one side, knit one backstitch purl one on the other, then I crocheted around the edges to finish it off nicely. The hat is from a pattern I got for free using Kindle Unlimited.

Da Boss modelling my efforts! )

I liked it so much, I'm making one for myself using dusky pink wool - keeps my hands busy so that I'm not snacking! I have an ARC to read but I think that's me done for the day. Passing the torch to Dreamy and sending you lots of creativity-dust!

Here we are with another week ahead, and it's the last one for April, so don't forget to scribble a few last words and get those numbers updated by the end of the week! I'll actually be away for a long weekend with a bunch of old schoolfriends (we finished school together 40 years ago this year, which makes me feel extremely old suddenly...) this coming weekend, so the count will probably not happen before Monday, which gives you a few extra days to get those numbers in!

Big Buddy should be just under 90%, so hopefully you're all tracking as you should be; if not, you still have a few days to catch up!

For this week's Flash challenge, I give you: A sudden dip in the temperature. Use it how you will; create whatever you like and pat yourself on the back for doing so! Link it here if you wish.

Here are all the prompt posts from the last week, should you need to catch up on anything:

Rainy Days & Mondays - 592 - Abstruse
P - Placebo - Mammonism - Thursday Tropes
Weekend Challenge: Unsolved Mysteries - Lunisolar
Inextricably - Belly-wash - Rainy Days & Mondays

The current long challenge challenge is BINGO!, so don't forget to drop by and pick up a card or two! I feel quite accomplished for having got a fill by making icons for a 2x2 mini-card already, so might have to go back and do another for May!

Also, don't forget to sign up for the Daily Count and Big Buddy challenges for May!

The temperature blanket I'm crocheting is a little behind as I ran out of the right colour yarn just half a day short of finishing March a while back, but I managed to get some this last weekend, so am busy catching up now we're nearly at the end of April - and temperatures have noticeably dropped over here in the last couple of weeks, so I'm excited to be doing more in the next colour down after being mostly brown so far this year! I never did get to the hottest colour, which is disappointing (and won't now as Feb is the hottest month in NZ), but that's what happens when you do a direct comparison with your buddy in Massachusetts and the range for each colour is seven degrees Celsius! I still think it's going to be fun to see both of them when we're finished, and yes, it will probably show how extreme our temperatures are NOT in NZ!!! LOL!

Other than that and the bingo icons, I have been making some knitted Peggy squares (I had to do something while waiting for my temperature yarn to come back in stock!) to join together for a baby blanket or two for charity. I have a ton of leftovers in all sorts of yarn colours - typical baby stuff and others, so it's one way to get it used up, and Peggy square blankets are so easy! Our local hospitals happily accept these as donations along with baby clothes, which they then give out to needy families having new babies, both premies and full-term.

Now, what have you been up to, and what do you have planned for the week? Whatever you do, let's be creative out there!

Here is the Other Creations counter that I promised you. This is not for counting on the comm, and won't be included in the year's total figures, but since so many of us are creative in other ways, we thought it would be fun to talk about those things and encourage each other through the year.
