It feels like the 15th Monday of the month!

How are you all doing?

I'm hating work, but I do feel like I'm controlling the things that I can. And with everything that is happening, I'm taking that win.

I have finished 2 knitting WIPs, which is very exciting, and I've knitted a month's worth of rows on my 2023 temperature blanket (yes, 2023). I've also written drabbles every week day for the last 2 weeks trying to do a character study and have over 4500 words. This feels awesome!!! Especially since I didn't write 1000 words last year.

I have, however, bought new yarn despite saying I was going to do the WIPs and 3 other projects. And then, of course, I have planned my 2024 blanket and my 2025 mood blanket so there is more projects, but the yarn won't be purchased until I start the last of the now 4 projects (does that make sense?).

Anyway, back to the comm:

I am hating work today, too. And if a certain co-worker does not stop telling me how to do a job he has never and will never do, there might be bloodshed. So, I am taking glee in ignoring him (you need to call them and get that, no, I absolutely do not, thanks) and trying to do the nine million other things on my list this morning.

Also, I've not even managed 2k so far this month, including two drabbles for the WIP. It makes me want to cry, but that could also be because of the above, too.

Anyway, I have two book reviews I need to write and that ought to nab me at least 800 words, so wish me luck.

Apologies for being on such a downer this morning, but I just cannot with Barney Rubble today.

Congrats on your knitting projects though! Can we use the 'it's not yarn, it's a collectible' on your purchases like we did for my book? 😂

HA! We cannot. As I currently have a lot of 'collectable yarn". But, it didn't come from Az, and I do intend to make it into a sweater like thing for myself so I'm okay with the spending. Especially where I'm 4 weeks into the year and am cleaning up my 3rd WIP. Finishing the dog sweater before the end of January was HUGE.

Barney can take my assistant and they can go for lunch and talk about how the things that we've been doing for decades are wrong, that they are right, but that they have to ask us how we do them. UGH!!!

Hah, I tried! But that is huge that you've already knocked off three WIPs. If nothing else, that deserves new yarn.

Man, he would, too. Since becoming 'just an office guy', he seems to think he knows everything about everything. I pray your assistant isn't half as insufferable as he's become.

And on a happy note, I've turned Maddie into a Dunkin fan. 😂

after taking a sanity week off from FB, I finished 3 pillows and caught up on some of the shows that have been in my to-watch list.
And I managed to get in the last 2k to make 50k this morning...even though I didn't think I would get there.
15 chapters (and a smidge) left to go...so the WIP is getting there.

I have not done great with the writing this month. But I do have almost 4K and should be able to make at least that before the end of the month.

I'm working on planning out my Christmas sewing projects for this year. And my friend just had her baby so that means a baby sampler just moved into my queue.

But I did finish my essay to apply for my second round of grad school... and that was the last part I needed. It's being edited now and then I'll submit. Then it's just waiting and seeing.

Hopefully the next few months will bring more writing and sewing. I need to finish up some presents from LAST Christmas, but I've only got two left to finish those up.
