Songfic Challenge: Introduction & rules!

Hello everyone, and welcome to our next long challenge — Songfic! This challenge will run from April 16 to May 31.

The goal for this challenge is to write a fic or create graphics inspired by a song — the title, the lyrics, the overall song or the music video.

Some simple rules
1. Pick any song — its title, its lyrics, the feelings it evokes when you listen to it or even its music video — and get inspired.

2. Write fic totaling 1,000 words or more, or create your choice of graphics (10 icons, 5 banners or 1 wallpaper) based on your inspiration. This can be original or any fandom of your choice.

3. You can include some of the actual lyrics in your fics or graphics, or you can just use any part of the song or music video as an inspiration — but please make sure what you were inspired by is listed somewhere so we know!

4. You can post your creation to the comm or to anywhere else you'd like and just link it here (in this post or any of the other Songfic Challenge posts).

5. Complete the challenge by the end of May 31, anywhere in the world.

Easy enough, right? And to help you, I will be posting a song — complete with lyrics and the link to its music video — every other day or so to help serve as inspiration.
