Monday rolls around once more

I am writing from Tuesday in NZ, actually, but as it's my first day in the office (rather than at home) each week, it can often feel more Monday-ish, if you know what I mean! I arrived today to find my mouse and keyboard not working, and thinking it was a battery issue, went searching for replacements (getting the cover off was a mission!), only to find it wasn't the problem! The guy I share the desk with had accidentally taken the mouse/keyboard dongle home with him! Great start! Anyway, I managed to find a plug-in keyboard and a spare mouse with its own dongle to do for today. *sigh* Had to get in touch with him to make sure he brings it back next time he's in! So, an hour into my day and I could finally get onto things properly!

Oh man, of all the wacky things to do! LOL But glad you were able to get set up to work at least.

I'm about 1300 words shy of where I need to be, but that ought to be easy enough to remedy.

Week is going well so far, minus the toaster oven kicking the bucket. It worked fine for me this morning, but by the time the kid got home from work at 8 AM, it wouldn't work for her at all. Amazon to the rescue - a new one should arrive by 10 PM tonight. Hahaha.

I know! The perils of sharing a desk! Thankfully I'm married to the admin guy and he found me some spares!

You can do it; I know it!

Yay Amazon, even if the kid had to do without! Our full oven is currently "locked" because of an error code after a self-clean, and the guy can't come to look at it till tomorrow (it happened on Sunday). I'm just glad we have a gas hob, plus the air fryer and microwave, so at least we're not relying on it for dinners!

I mean, I have to hide my pens because my guys hijack them off my desk. I'd be livid if they walked off with something important. Hahaha. Sweet talking the admin nearly always works. :D

She wound up putting butter on her English muffin and 'frying' it in a skillet so it got crispy. Hahaha. Oh man, I'm glad you have other ways of cooking otherwise that'd be frustrating. I do love my air fryer though.

Well, it's Monday for me... and we spent about 3.5 hours with no internet... for the WHOLE district. So I didn't get very much done.

I'm a bit behind on my count, but hoping to catch up quickly. I need about 700 words to catch up. But I'll get there.

See now, my first thought is what is he plugging in to the computer daily that taking home a dongle is a thing for him? But that's me.

It stumped me at first too, but it seems he took his laptop into another room so took the mouse & dongle there, and then probably left it in the laptop but managed to return the mouse to the desk.

I hope Tuesday is turning out better than Monday for you! Wednesday is off to a slow start, but more or less okay, thanks!
