“What has…?”
“Last night, during your absence, he began retching blood. Aland, Artur, and Yoana have done what they could to sustain him, as he does not want to leave us before your return…but they agree he does not have much time remaining.”
Kavan sighed and nodded. This day had been creeping up on them for months without any miracle to stave off the inevitable. “Take me to him.” He looked back at Zerio as he followed Rhyrdan towards the door and the Zerio nodded. Asta had given him duties to undersee. He would see to those before returning to Kavan again.
