Advice: Consider writing a chapter-by-chapter outline. Having nailed down your concept, expand it into a chapter by chapter outline. Take time to plot your story from beginning to end BEFORE you start writing. This allows you to know the purpose of each scene and streamlines the writing process.
Prompt: One morning, your grandmother takes you aside and tells you there is a huge family secret that it's time you know. But even though the thing she tells you is outrageous, there's a part of you that isn't surprised. What's the secret?

Date: 2021-10-19 12:18 am (UTC)My outlines are pretty rough...vague plot points that I need to cover to get from one place to another...that get added to, subtracted from, and shuffled around as the writing progresses. Maybe that's not really 'outlining'...but I don't have a better name for it.
I might need to utilize the conference room table to spread out my notecards this time...it might make it easier to shuffle them around.
I've a few new characters to add this time...I'm not going to flesh them out fully but give them names, relationships, and a few necessary key traits...and see where that leads me.
