Happy Monday everyone!  Can you believe it’s May already?  School’s almost out in these parts and I’m almost the mother of a senior (again).  YIKES.  Can’t lie though, I’m looking forward to having some quiet mornings again over the summer.

Even though I did no word over the weekend, I DID get a lot accomplished...and I am ahead of the count too, so I'm okay.
Not sure what this week holds, but hoping the 2 kitties that pushed out the window screen and got out come home. One was an outside cat to begin with, so we're not too concerned about him. We caught a glimpse of him last so he was okay. The other old man kitty has never been outside, is generally terrified when he goes out, and has some health issues, so we hope we can find him sooner rather than later.

Oh no, I hope the kitties are okay. We had one get out and go missing for three days. Found his dumb self sitting at the back sliding glass door, waiting to be let in. He'd never been outside before either.

I finally wrote for the first time in what feels like ages yesterday. I'm a little behind right now, but I've got a bunch of prompts to work on, including this week's flash prompt, so I hope to be back on track next week.

“Fifty. Ugh. Is it just me or do you have the feeling of impending doom?” Tim asked.

“No doom for me. Other than that sunny everyday feeling that it might be my last day on Earth. The doom is your thing. Unless there’s something in that cake that’s gonna kill me.”

“It’s your grandmother’s recipe.”

“Oh, so there’s a lot in that cake that’s gonna kill me,” Sean said with a grin.

“Dying would make it the worst milestone birthday ever.”

“So, I’d finally top your tenth.”

“Nothing will top my-“

An alarm blared to life, startling them both. “Hold that thought,” Sean said, before they both took off running in response to the alarm.

According to the math I've been keeping, today I should be at 700 words and 7 graphics. However I'm at 600 words and 0 graphics because I haven't started writing for today yet...and haven't felt like making graphics, but I will soon.

That's awesome! You can get caught up with the graphics, I know! But I feel you - I haven't made any graphics all year that I can remember. Oops. :)
