I have no reason for this, other than surviving 5 family birthdays in 2 weeks has left me feeling nostalgic. There is nothing wrong with that, even if we look at what we once loved and groan… or maybe we will smile as we relearn and remember why we loved something from our childhood/youths.

This is very timely seeing as I've been listening to the 80's Country station on Pandora all morning. :D

Ferris Bueller is still one of my favorite movies. And OMG there was a clip from Top Secret in that video. I swear, some of the movies Val Kilmer made before he became famous... :D

To be honest, I have never seen Ferris Bueller, even though I am an 80s child.

Top Secret always made me laugh... especially the cow scene.

It's really worth watching, I think. My 18-year-old loved it. :D

OMG, that movie. "You're always in such a bloody hurry!" Top Secret and Real Genius are the reasons why I love Val Kilmer so much.

My husband owns it and I tried watching it... not my thing, but I was never rebellious. My mom and dad would have tanned my hide if I did a 10th of what was in the movie.

I like Val Kilmer in those roles, but I liked him best in Thunderheart.

Ah, I can totally understand that. I think it's half of why I loved it so much - because I'd have never been able to do ANY of that.

Love the quote. Ferris Bueller was my favorite movie from the 80's.

As I watched the video, I was naming the different movies for my girls. They would have rolled their eyes at me if they were human...lol

The 80s, big hair, bigger shoulder pads, and not giving a eff how we danced, so long as we moved our bodies! Good times!
