1_million_wordsHi and hello everyone! As the weather here has been crazy lately, I decided to go with some weather prompts for this weekend's challenge!
I have 30 weather-related prompts for you, so give me a number or numbers and I'll give you the appropriate prompt/s.
Create as you will with your prompt - be it graphic or written - any inspiration for any fandom (or none!) you like is just fine.
Give me at least 500 words or 5 icons/a banner by midnight Thursday and I will reward you with 100 words in a WIP or an icon of your choice!

Lenny had bad news written all over her like October of ’29.
Where that line came from, David didn’t know, but it was the first words that crossed his mind when her laughter filtered into his head like a hurricane from somewhere beyond the confines that held him kept him trapped in darkness. He hated it here, in this place of sensory deprivation only occasionally punctured by Lenny’s laughter or the flashes…the sounds and sights and smells…of destruction and death that kept him constantly frightened, constantly sick.
Once or twice he had heard the baying of a wolf, but as that made no more sense to him than any of the rest of this did, the howls had been pushed out of his head.
If he found his way clear of his madness, if he ever found refuge in himself, he was never going off his meds again. He would be happy to have the snowstorm of chaos in his head, no matter how light, over and done with.
‘You can get out of here,’ a voice said. His voice…but not…a rational sounding voice with a British accent that was not his own.
“I can’t…”
“Think about it. How long have you been here?”
“I don’t know…”
“Yes…you do. Think.”
He tried. Each little snippet of memory…one act of destruction after another, came too far apart to be a single day…and yet too close together to be ‘forever’ as he often felt. He had not starved to death…though he could not recall eating since being trapped here…which also suggested he could not have been here as long as he believed…and yet there had been no hunger pangs. He touched his cheeks, his chin, and found no trace of facial hair.
It suggested he had been here less than a few days.
And yet he knew he had been here longer than that. He just…knew it.
“If this was real…really real…I’d be hungry…thirsty…hell, I’d need a bathroom,” David scoffed. So if it wasn’t real…if this was all somehow in his head…all a delusion, a product of his disease…then all he had to do was realize that and will himself out of this black pit…
…a laugh…but not Lenny’s…reverberated around him like nails thundering in a metal bucket.
He cringed, clutched his head between his hands, and as it threatened to deafen him, he screamed.

Date: 2018-02-28 12:56 am (UTC)I saw a great black & white print of the Arch barely visible through fog once (that I should have bought, but didn't) and I've been fascinated by it ever since. I live in St Louis so every so often I'm able to see it.
Question- is there an easy way to post icons in a comment box? I did a two-step process where I added pics to a private post & then copied and pasted the links here.
