So it’s 5 something in the morning again. Dog is out, but I neglected to set the timer on the coffeemaker so I’m waiting on that (in the scheme of things I’ve forgotten in regards to setting up the coffeemaker it’s not that bad. I have woken up to forgetting the water, forgetting the coffee, and forgetting to put the pot in place – puddle o’ coffee anyone).
While I wait, let me tell you all this: YOU FOLKS ARE FULLY AWESOME!!!!
If I could do large flashing scrolling sparkly text to express how much you all mean to me this is where I would put it!!!!
I cannot get over what we have accomplished in a week. And the first week isn’t even over for me yet! I haven’t counted the painted and written words (I will let the type-a part of me loose at work), but I FEEL like we did so damn much. I know I was fried from all the drabble writing when I crashed for the night yesterday. And how cool is that? FRIED FROM WRITING!!!!
(Coffee’s done, brb)(Back, and Eggs is back in, but the cat got out, Monday anyone?)
In addition to writing 7 or 42,000 drabbles and ficlets this weekend (I still owe
rocsfan, anyone else?) I also wrote to maintain my 220 words a day on the fic I’ve been working on. I am AMAZING!!! And I know that I am, because you all are!
I think that Mondays here should be devoted to how amazing we all are. This is something that
haldoor and I also do. A moment or two of mutual appreciation. A GO YOU day! And it doesn’t matter what you did, I’m sure you did something amazing! Did you paint some words this weekend? Write some? Did you get up and clean the house? Did you cook from scratch? Did you have an I earned it moment and got take out? Did you exercise? Did you get to have one of those rare indulgent weekends where you got to snuggle up and watch your guilty pleasure with a pet in your lap? Did you work? Did you make plans to make more words?
So it’s 6 now, the cat is in, I need another cup of coffee, and the dog is snoring (I love when Eggs snores). I need to copy my in progress fic into an e-mail so I can cheat at work and maybe get some more done there today. And I also feel a little accomplished today for having told you all how excited I am about this new community, and how YOU FOLKS ARE FULLY AWESOME!!!!

Date: 2013-01-07 06:28 pm (UTC)You really are the best things since sliced bread, as coming up with the idea to write a million words and getting everyone else to help is the best idea.
Keeping up the momentum is good and your inspirational and congratulatory posts are definitely helping me, even though I didn't write many words yet this week.
I still feel good - my weekend consisted of berry picking and a zoo visit with the family, and a lunch with my mother and best friend (where they took many strawberries away with them!), planning a movie-date with them and my sis, and watching movies on TV! There was no writing until Sunday night, but it was GOOD writing, or at least I felt good about it.
Now, plan for this week: do more words on the pornstar!fic, post here on my Friday regarding a saying/quote of the week to (hopefully) inspire more words from the members, and also I'm thinking of whether we also need some kind of weekly graphics inspiration post. Maybe one of the graphics people could think about doing that, or else they could give me suggestions of what sort of pics/photos are good to post for playing with (I'm hopelessly amateur in this area and wouldn't know a high-res pic if it hit me in the face). I also think the pic or pics should inspire our writers, so I'm asking here for your thoughts and opinions on what would work. Talk to me!
AND CONGRATS, everyone. As Kaige already said, YOU ARE ALL AWESOME!

You had a super productive weekend! Berries, family AND words! I am thoroughly impressed and cannot wait for more pornstar!
I will try to get a post out to image people and see if I can get suggestions!
YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Plus, I think I have a writing hangover. I had a great time getting it, but today I'm a bit shy of the hair of the dog...

Date: 2013-01-08 12:33 am (UTC)I know I had fun with the flash challenge and look foward to more of them.
This weekend, did a bit more packing for the move that's coming up in March and still lots more to pack and purge. Went to a few craft stores, since I had good coupons, and picked up some more supplies for paper scrapbooking. Argh, means more to pack but the price was right! Rested a bit and made icons. Speaking of icons off to make one or two more that were requested over at

Date: 2013-01-08 01:04 am (UTC)Ewww pack and purge! The worst part of moving! But good for you! Even buying more stuff to move, if you'll use it and it's cheap, it's worth it!
GO YOU!!!!

Date: 2013-01-08 01:29 am (UTC)It was very cheap, on clearanc with another 25% off, and it will be used. Started the paper scrapbooking last year after the trips to CA and FL. I like the digital scrapbooking but for me there is something about holding the pictures and the elements and papers in my hand that really help to inspire me.
