Uptalk (noun)
uptalk [uhp-tawk]

noun
1. a rise in pitch at the end usually of a declarative sentence, especially if habitual: often represented in writing by a question mark as in Hi, I'm here to read the meter?

Origin: First recorded in 1990-95

Now YOU come up with a sentence (or fic? or graphic?) that best illustrates the word.

Wow, I didn't know it had a name, and I see that the term itself is relatively recent, but this is something that a lot of Kiwis do ALL the time when they speak!
