I'm hoping to make some good progress on the reverse big bang. It's at 8400 words - thinking it'll be about 10K when it's done - should be able to finish the draft this weekend

Awesome on the race! And because it's summer - if they started later you'd wilt. :D It's only just 9 AM here and already 82 and my kid is out playing tennis in it.

Good that she is young! Yeah, it was hot here even early- was pushing 80 degrees before I got done @9:40am. We all felt it- lots of people doing some walking.

Definitely! The biggest plus here is that our humidity is low. 80 where you are borders on being yucky! :D And I don't doubt you were feeling it. Good for you for doing it though.

Nope, I've never written H50, not yet anyway. Common Law, a show that got one lousy season before it got yanked. :( Still bitter and it's been five years. Hah.

Yay! I just finished season 4 of H50 not long ago and am getting ready to start season 5 so... it could be soon! :D I get terrified when diving into established fandoms. At least with CL, I started around the first episode. :D

You wouldn't think a few hours shift in schedule would make a difference but ...

That and the morale right now is at an all-time low - glad for the extra money - but wishing it wasn't so depressing an environment LOL

Oh, definitely - a time shift is not a small thing! I've worked all sorts of shifts over the years, so I can definitely sympathize. It can take weeks, minimum, to adjust.

Unfortunately, so many places seem to be in the same boat- not much high morale anywhere I've heard of lately.. :\ At least I can say I've had worse than I do now, so... I try to keep that in mind. Hope it gets better!
