Advice: Remember, You’re not writing a novel, you’re drafting one! The words you put down in November (or during any first telling of a story) are not intended to be perfect…just keep going, resist editing, and get the thing written!

Prompt: Genre-bender. Writing a romance? Using your existing characters, write the next scene as if your story is now a murder mystery. High fantasy your thing? Throw those elves and warlocks into a soap-style serial drama. Badass international spy hero? Let’s see how she does in a YA paranormal romance. Whatever your genre, mix it up and make your characters think on their feet

No words for me yesterday, though I did work on my letter for my Yuletide gifter, which is important! Today, though, I have been writing a bunch of words. Hoping to get even more done tonight.

But today is [livejournal.com profile] simplyn2deep's day, and I hope there are many, many words in the forecast!

I've probably done about 500 words today. I started on the outline of my art appreciation paper that I'll be working on during November. It's only 1000 words, but it's been a long time since I've written a college paper.

Good luck [livejournal.com profile] backrose_17.
