Managed to take my kids school shopping yesterday and not only did I not break the budget, but neither kid got smacked while shopping either. A DOUBLE WIN. :D

But seriously... I have two WIPs I want to finish this week as well as get caught up with my A to Z Challenge. Wish me luck.

I had a few parents I wanted to smack yesterday because they waited til the day before school started to get their kids' school supplies.

Ugh, yes - that. School doesn't start here until next Monday 8/29, but I know there will be people waiting until this weekend. SO happy we got all their supplies last weekend.

I've only got two weeks until I go back to uni and so things are a little hectic here! So excited about moving into our new house though and me and my housemate are going to go on a spending spree in IKEA once we've moved in.

Writing wise I have got my heroine big bang and two MARVEL reverse bangs to finish so quite busy there too

I'm aiming to have an awesome time entertaining company for a couple of days. Then I'm going to see my family, and meet my niece's new baby. :) Yay, a baby to rock!

I'm also going to finish up a couple of fics, and play with the August Rush images some more. I may actually hit 3x my monthly word goals this month - probably my best month's output ever. Nice boost for the year!

I am going to work on my hundreds of WIPs this week. And every week until November all while trying to decide what I'll be writing for NaNoWriMo.

Wait, I should say that I'll be working on some of my hundreds of WIPs this week and every week. I tend to work on many stories at once but never hundreds at a time. :D The main one I'm working on is my Gilmore Girls story which I want to finish before the 4 new episodes return on November 25th. :D

My back is feeling rather not awesome right now. I just finished up a seven hour drive from my sister's house to my parents house and boy does it feel good to be able to stretch and move around. :D

I think I'll spend the rest of the day awesomely relaxing and then I'll regroup for tomorrow and the rest of the week. I have lots of crafts I want to finish up and a few stories to check off my writing list. Looking forward to being productive!

Monday...and I'm already exhausted.
the local fire is out...or mostly out (I haven't seen today's update yet)...so now we get to start the process of helping the survivors with housing. We did find a new office...but do not have furniture or phones or computers yet...its bigger, and closer to home...so that's a plus.
somehow I get stuck doing all the application work at the Assistance Center...with the boss asking me to do other things that I can't do from there (no wifi/computer access...and I can't be 2 places at once) He wants us to be in the office 'functioning' by Thursday...but I can't very well be setting up there while manning the info table...so my week is going to be stressful...
and though the smoke is gone, there's enough of it lingering in the area where the office was (where they're having tha assistance center) that by the time I got home my throat and chest and eyes hurt...and sinuses are not happy.
Yes I'm complaining...but at least I did not loose my house or my pets...or my job...so I'm fortunate in that aspect.
And yet I'm still trying to write. Thank goodness for the progress I made early in the month...cause now its gonna slow to an almost crawl I think.
