And while I'm here I see someone needs tagging for the daily count challenge, so I'm picking up where the Olympics left off [Personal aside: NZ got their best ever medal tally with a whopping 18, up from the previous record of 13, and putting us 4th in medals per capita!!! WOOT!] and handing the baton over to the ever-lovely erinm_4600! Go on, Erin, you can do this!!! ;-)

Well Done NZ ;) GB had our most successful Olympics ever with 67 medals and 47% of our athletes left with a medal :D

Yay, NZ! Glad you all had good Games. I didn't watch a ton of it - I'm more a Winter Olympics person. But what I did watch was pretty entertaining. Glad it seemed to all go pretty smoothly.

Thanks! I didn't watch much to be honest - I'm not a great sports follower! - but we knew the Kiwi girl diving (she went to my daughters' school) so we had to watch that, and incidentally I saw a few other bits. We had a TV on at work in our lunch room too, which meant it was inevitable I'd see at least some of it. ;-)
