Personally, I have written 4109 WIP words in my H50 Rock Star AU. I did not finish it, but most days I managed some words, so I am proud of that; so pleased to have gotten this far, but a little disappointed that I didn't manage to finish the whole thing. BUT, I am going to keep working on it, and aim to have the rest posted (including this part that I have just posted at the comm) properly at AO3, as I would normally, before too many more months go by.

It's nowhere near finished...but still going strong, so that's okay. Of my 66k so far, I'd say 55k of it is writing (the rest is editing another project) so it may not be finished but still a LOT of words. One or the other (or both) may be done in June...then making the other a finish for July's camp.

It's the best thing I have to credit NaNo for...it showed me that if I can do 50k in one month, I should be able to do that in most months (be it writing or editing or both) If I aim for a 2k day, get as close to that as possible, it puts it over 60...but I have to (sadly) give myself leeway for the days when RL sucks, lol.
I'm still hard on myself in that pushing, I know...but figure I need to be to get all of this stuff out of my head lol ;)

Well, I didn't work on the WIP that I planned to finish, but I did switch to another one and that one is almost done. One more scene and the first draft would be done, I think. I knew it wasn't going to be ready to be posted by the end of the month so I'm glad that at least I'm almost done with the rough draft. Then, I have a lot of editing to do.

This WIP push challenge has really helped me, thank you! I was able to finish an installment of my Mean Streets film noir series and my belated ACD Holmes fic for the watsons_woes April "Stormy Weather" prompt. I also managed to add about 100 words each to a Starsky and Hutch fic and a H50 fic, for a grand total of 4,424 words :)

Nowhere near finished. Oh well. I got stuck. I can't seem to just sit down and write. Or when I do, I stare at the screen and can't think of what should come next, even though I have a general plan. I'm getting bogged down in specifics that my brain refuses to supply. I need to just skip over or write generalities and worry about specifics later. I have to finish this because it's a big bang and I have an artist! And what I've written already is absolutely horrible, so there's a ton of work to do after I finally get to the end of the story. /nervous
