My turn again, and I almost forgot, but to be fair it hasn't been the best week. My brother, who has lived in the UK since the late eighties, and who has been dealing with cancer for the last several years, sadly passed away. My husband and I were supposed to go visit him and his wife and stepson in 2020, but we all know what happened then and we hadn't managed to reschedule the trip up to this point, so our planned reunion just wasn't to be.
It's been rough, as he and I hadn't been in the same country since 2004, though of course we had done Skype and Messenger video calls over the years. Anyway, I'm doing better now than I was last week when I first heard, and the moments of sadness and tears are not quite as frequent.
I won't say more about it here, as this is meant to be your Monday encouragement post, and there are other places for me to talk more about my brother.
So to get back to the comm, what awesome things do you have planned for this week? I have plans to finish the charity blanket I'm making, and I'm pretty sure I owe some icons, so I need to get onto them too!
Now, you should know where to find the tags for all our recent prompt posts, like for the Word of the Day, A-Z Challenge, Numbers Challenge, Weekend Challenge, etc, so check them out if you need some inspiration! And don't forget the current long challenge, Comment Fic!
If you're a Big Buddier, you should be at around 84% of your goal. How are you doing with that? I hope you're speeding along smoothly!
Your flash challenge for this week is: Sleeping on the Job. Pick up a pen and paper, or open a document and start typing! Give us 100+ words and then pat yourself on the back for adding to our count!
Now, what have I forgotten? Hopefully, I've covered everything, but remind me if I missed anything important! Have a good week, everyone, and tell those close to you how much they mean to you. ❤
