I don't know what happened, but this didn't post at all on Wednesday night. And I was so busy yesterday that I didn't open my laptop at all.

Here's the calendar for the May Daily Count Challenge. Please review the list and let me know if something doesn't work for you. Thank you!

Here's how the Daily Count Challenge works: every Wednesday night, we'll post a reminder for the upcoming week. If, for any reason, a participant forgets to post their daily writing, the next person in line will be notified and can post after finishing their own. This ensures that the challenge keeps moving forward smoothly.

Example: 05 May, and [livejournal.com profile] backrose_17 hasn't made a post saying that they've done their daily writing on 06 May, Dreamy can post when they've done their writing to keep things moving.

I think I've covered everything, but if not, please let me know.

Hi everyone! So today was supposed to be my daughter's first Spring Carnival at her elementary school — until crazy thunderstorms and hail came in and the school district cancelled all afterschool events. It will be rescheduled, probably for next week, but in the meantime, I used it as inspiration to put together 25 carnival related prompts.

So pick a number or two or three from 1 to 25, and I will share the prompts with you, in the hopes that something will inspire you.

As always, you have till the end of Thursday anywhere in the world to write at least 300 words or make at least 2 icons or an equivalent. I will then reward you with a drabble, an icon, words in a WIP or eat some yummy food in your honor when the carnival gets rescheduled :)

Example Sentences
Torrefy, tor′e-fī, v.t. to scorch: to parch:—pa.t. and pa.p. torr′efied.—n.
From Project Gutenberg

They generally torrefy it in the Embers, so strip off the Bark from the Root, beating it to a Consistence fit to spread, so lay it on the griev'd Part; which both cleanses a fowl Ulcer; and after Scarrification, being apply'd to a Contusion, or Swelling, draws forth the Pain, and reduces the Part to its pristine State of Health, as I have often seen effected.
From Project Gutenberg

Now YOU come up with a sentence (or fic? or graphic?) that best illustrates the word.
