Good morning!

Happy last week of April!  Are you ready for summer yet, or are you lucky enough to live in a place where summer doesn’t start in March?  However the weather is in your area, hopefully it’s been conducive to creativity of all sorts.  One thing I have to say about our weather here, it's really been encouraging the plants to go wild.  Picked my first home grown strawberry on Sunday.  Might have a tomato ready to go soon, too.

Reminders:

1. Flash Challenge!  Your flash challenge prompt is: dusty.  Give me 100 words or a graphic and I’ll reward you with my undying love and admiration.

2. Last week’s challenges:

Word of the day
Weekend Challenge
Thursday Tropes
A to Z
Numbers

And there are more, just check the tags!

3. Big Buddy is at 93%.  Are you on track?  Let us know in the comments if there’s something we can help you with.

4. The Daily Count challenge is still going on.  You can find the list for the rest of the month here.

5. Our current long challenge is original fic!  You can find the welcome post here if you have any questions.  Good time to dip your toes into this world if you’ve ever been tempted.

And now, on to Monday!  I hope it’s a great one for you.  If you’re a hockey fan, I hope your team is doing well and not causing you to call 9-1-1 every time they blow a lead.  I really need to get into better shape before the Knights kill me.  Hah!

Let’s go forth and have a fantastic, productive week!

Here's the rules:
1) 100 words or 1 graphic for each letter of the alphabet.

It's that easy.
And perk of the alphabet you know what's coming if you want to get ahead of it. There is no need for your work to all connect. There is no need for them to be in order.

Like the Numbers challenge, if you are stuck or would like a random word to use, poke me and I will provide.

Now everyone give me a

Hey all you original writers out there! How are you going with your goals for the challenge?

I haven't been doing very well; still haven't even looked at what I'm supposed to be working on! I need to pull my WiPs out tonight and make sure I choose one, if nothing else!

Now, [livejournal.com profile] asphaltcowgrrl said she is on hand to help people. Here's what she told me: I'm also available for questions, beta-ing, whatever anyone might need help with. I'm tied to this computer from 7:30-ish AM — 4:00 PM PST M-F, so mention me in a comment or send me a DM.

I am around, sometimes when everyone else is asleep, but I answer/help as soon as I can! And we have a few other orig. fic writers in the team too, so don't be shy if you're new to it, but need some guidance! So, there's a WHOLE LOT of support here!

Now for a couple of prompts, in case you're needing inspiration. I can't guarantee they're unused before, but maybe they deserve some love! Here they are:

1. "Whatever you want, my love."
2. Too much time on my hands.
3. Brain like a sieve.

Let us know how you're going; if you want some help or any other thing! And KEEP WRITING! ;-)

Apologies for not posting the word of the day on Saturday and Sunday. I thought I scheduled them before I left for my friend's wedding weekend, but I didn't.

1. of, in, or pertaining to the early springtime: primaveral longings to sail around the world.

Origin: First recorded in 1815–25; from Spanish or Italian primaver(a) “spring” (also Portuguese, Provençal, Catalan; compare Latin prīmō vēre “in the early spring”; Romance -vera probably originally neuter plural construed as feminine, or re-formation as feminine noun) + -al

From Los Angeles Times

Now YOU come up with a sentence (or fic? or graphic?) that best illustrates the word.
