Black Friday - Holiday Happenings

Black Friday is traditionally day after the American holiday of Thanksgiving, and while not an actual holiday as in a day off from work for most people, it is widely celebrated. In googling the term it apparently comes from the Philadelphia area and was used to describe the amount of foot and vehicle traffic. When it was explained to me, I was told that it is the ‘official’ start of the Christmas shopping season, and the day when a lot of retailers finally turn the corner from running in the red to bringing their balance sheets to black.

For those that don’t know, a Turkey Trot is a race, 5 to 10k, held on Thanksgiving morning. It usually for charity, or can just be for fun to burn off the calories before we stuff ourselves with about 4.5 lbs of food.

But because we are 1 Million Words - we are not running, but writing for those K’s (as in thousand words not Kilometers) So stretch out your fingers, grab your fastest muse, because 1 Million Words 4-Day Turkey Trot is on!

How the prices will work

5k - One drabble or Icon of your choice
10k - Two Drabbles or Icons or a mix of them
15k- Three “ “
20K - Four and so on for each 5k

All gives well be made in dec (including owed ones)

And don’t forget Art counts too, and we have Calendars due!
