Ormolu is our grumpy, frumpy old calico. We also have Puppykat, who is transpecies, thanks to being raised by the husky. Then we rescued a little Bombay mix, Miss Boo. Like most Bombays, Miss Boo divides her time between skittering around the house at warp speed - and getting into everything she knows she is not supposed to get into. All while trilling happily at the top of her lungs.
Ormolu has advised us she is refusing to acknowledge Puppykat could be a cat on sheer principle. As for Miss Boo, she may claim to be a cat, but she is clearly some lesser life form. We have also been put on notice that Ormolu can and will have the locks changed if we even think about bringing more beasts into the house. Since Ormolu is smarter than 97% of the humans we know, this is a very real threat.
