Hi original fic writers! Remember this post from last month? Yep, it's time to wind up the challenge fic from last month (or if it's an ongoing fic, decide what excerpt you're going to share), and show us what you got!



If you're like I usually am, you may not be finished yet, but hopefully you're well on the way to meeting the goal you set for yourself. I'm leaving things open for you to link or post in a comment to this entry before the end of June - by all means post in your own journal or wherever else you normally post your original stories (if you do); just link us back there! If you don't usually post or haven't yet, feel free to post in the comm and link to this entry.

Hey - no worries, it's not going anywhere. LOL Thank you so much though. It was an interesting experience - going back and looking at older fics with these two to 'fact check' I discovered just how much my writing has matured over the last ten years, so that's an amazing thing on its own.

Finally read it! Maturing over the years is a natural enough phenomenon, and always interesting to see in one's own writing, isn't it?

And thanks, I have added plenty of words recently, if not to the original fic I would have liked to progress on! ;-)

Thank you so much! And you're the second person to comment on the aging thing, so that's interesting. My birthday was weighting heavily on my mind while I was writing this, I guess! LOLOL (Those big numbers ending in '0' tend to get you)

w00t! Go you! Ah, well, sorry they weren't on the original fic, but words are words and they always seem to move us in the direction we need to be going.

Thanks to your lyric prompt, I ended up editing my NaNoWriMo novel from a few years ago and I wrote a little story that I might add in somewhere based on the prompt! It was close to 2500 words. I'm not sure how much I've added or taken away from my novel but I have improved it...at least a little! :D I am not sure if I will post it anywhere online...it is the story I'd love to do something with someday! :D

I didn't do much with my Civil War story or really any other goal I might have set for myself this month but there's still a few days left, right? Right. ;)

I'm so glad the prompt inspired you! And very sorry this reply is so late - I meant to come back sooner, and then I kind of overlooked it until now. The 2500 words of improvement is great news, even if none of it gets posted online any time soon. I do hope you end up doing something with it one day, as you want!
