Daily Count

Well, I spent half the night up being sick, but still managed to get words in (despite a nap and a visit to Urgent Care and still not feeling well). Didn't really focus on anything, but finished a friend's birthday gift (which I started last year and ended up being 12 chapters), finished my grant proposal for college, did a version of the rare pair challenge, and also put a few hundred words on my current anthology story.

All told 1633 words for the day which brings me up to 9546 for the month.

Over to [livejournal.com profile] simplyn2deep for words tomorrow.

*puts mask on*

Seems like everyone in these parts is getting sick. Hope you're feeling better soon. Looks like you had quite the productive day despite it all.

The downside to living in a tourist-based economy: SO MANY people are visiting and not being careful. *sigh*

That's good news!

Even a little productive is still productive.

Yeah, I haven't had an honest-to-God vacation in more than ten years and I desperately want to go somewhere, but it's just not happening right now.

Glad to hear it's clearing up.

I know what you mean, but sometimes, I just can't do it on the weekends.

It's all good. Do what you've got to do and enjoy yourself.

That sucks, but as long as it's mostly gone, it's a good thing.

One steady job would be best. I remember when Troy worked two jobs when the girls were little, it seriously wore on him.

Yeah, absolutely.

It is kind of shocking sometimes that with all their training they can't figure something out. Maddie had a reaction to something when she was a few months old and the doctor couldn't figure it out either. Said it looked like a reaction to a sulfate drug - which they don't even use any longer. She was fine, but I still think about it 19 years later.

That's good! Here's to hoping they don't need you to work after that.

That's good news.

Ugh, that's kind of insane.

[identity profile] asphaltcowgrrl.livejournal.com 2021-12-22 06:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Ah, poor guy. That'll throw everything into chaos for sure.

You're probably right. I know that when I quit my last job before I started this one, I told my boss that if it was an EMERGENCY I could come in after 4 PM and cover for him. The way the employees abused that... it was like twice a week someone wanted me to come in. Honey, I've already put in my 40 hrs, thanks.

Oh geez. No, the kids are the important thing here, truly.

I agree. You need some downtime otherwise you'll burn yourself out.

Hopefully he'll stick it out.

It's something I've only recently acquired now that my kids are adults. LOL

That's good to hear.

LOL - no clue! :D

LOL - some words never look right!

Ugh, he'd better get on the ball soon!

Oh no, I'm sorry you got COVID. Hopefully you're feeling okay.
