I know, I know, I'm NO help when it comes to weeding out challenges. But eh, you know me, I love them all in some way or another.

considering i've just done a whole month of rare pair tropes, you'd think i'd have had enough, but no lol. also, with pool party, while I don't know about writing in a new fandom, graphics could probably be a thing, but what counts for graphics? i know i saw the list of number of icons/banners/etc with their dimensions somewhere but now i can't find it again. I thought it might be under the graphics counter, but that's just each individual graphic is a count, and it wasn't under FAQs

We count each graphic as 1000 words (as in 'a picture paints a thousand words') no matter how big it is (as this is the easiest way to count). Usually with the bigger challenges the person running it will tell you what they see as enough to fulfil the challenge criteria though, so you can judge it from the rules how much you need to do, generally. We still count each graphic as one thousand words in the annual totals though.

I know! I was the same! They are mostly pretty old, and we may do some of them, but we'll see if they take the same format. I don't think there's anything wrong with switching them up a bit and adapting them if people are interested!

I was just thinking about how the round-robin could be switched up a bit, but it was probably way more complicated in my head than necessary for the challenge.

The gist of it involves everyone who is participating to decide on a setting and a basic story idea. Possibly if it will be based in a specific fandom or something "original".

There were polls and the planning was going to take at least week in itself before any actual round robin writing was done.

I can say once to see how it goes, and if it's well-received, then possibly more times if the schedule allows for it.

As I said in the Monday post to Dreamy, I'll email you, K and D tomorrow once I've relooked at the spreadsheet i was working on with these. Then we can decide what's the best option for all of us on them! ;-)

I have had so much bad and loss happen this past year, that I can only promise to try. May 2021 be kinder, but I'm not holding my breath.

Love this community. I'll continue to help out with the weekend challenges when needed and I'll be running word sprints from time to time to help folks get their counts up. I'll cheerlead where I can, but that might be a bit sporadic.

As far as challenges go, rare pairs really are my thing.
