It's Monday again.

Christmas is in one week. Woohoo!

What are everyone's plans to be awesome this week?
Me, I need to finish my SOJ and a blanket for Bonita.

1) survive the week...since we're supposed to have next week off.
2) stay caught up with the word count (hahahaha)
3) not sure if its the week goal...but I've got 3 (and a bit) chapters to go in this year's NaNo story...first draft of course.
Would be nice to finish it before the year ends :D Should be able to next week even if I don't this week.

I don't like the 'forced' use of my vacation time if I want to get paid...when I'd like to use vacation days elsewhere in the year...but since Monday and Tuesday are holidays, and I can get a few hours if I come in, get the mail, check the phone messages etc (as well as take down the Christmas decorations) at least it doesn't eat up all my time.

I totally understand that. My husband has to bank enough of his PTO that he gets a paycheck while he's off. Doesn't help that he spent 2 days in the hospital two weeks ago, so he worked a couple weekends to make it all up. Good that you can balance it out somewhat though.

I'm really excited to say I finished and submitted/posted my two holiday fics last week - one for SOJ, and the other for a Suits/Marvey Secret Santa swap on Tumblr. It's the first big surge of writing energy I've found in forever, and at least half of the 7,500 words were written in one week!

That's as awesome as I'm likely to be this month, lol. But I have a mood board I want to do up and I might try to write some short ficlets between now and the end of the year.

Hope Bonita loves her snuggly new blanket, and that everyone finds some Merry and some Bright in their holidays. :)

I'm closing in on finishing that Christmas fic I promised and have been struggling to get written. I've applied alcohol (to the characters, not myself hah) and it seems to be moving finally. YAY. Want to get one more done before the weekend, but not sure if that will happen or not.

Need to bake the last two batches of cookies (they're mixed up and waiting in the fridge) so I ought to be good.

Hopefully the SOJ fic goes smoothly and you can get poor little Bonita's blanket finished. I can see her shaking from here. :D (Or I could shave my cat and make her a coat!)

I need to post my SoJ this week (it is done, yay!) and icons later on too, so they need making (ulp!) but most everything else is done and/or ready for Christmas except buying Christmas crackers (tonight) and a few last minute perishables (Saturday), and wrapping the presents (thank goodness for a weekend before the 25th!)
