Weekend Challenge: Leftovers

Oops, nearly didn't realise it was my turn! Better late than never though!

Anyhow, I'm going with leftover prompts I've got lying around. Let me know if you want a one-word, short phrase or full sentence (or any combination thereof) prompt, and I'll dig through my lists for something appropriate.

Write or create in some other way the equivalent of at least 200 words by Thursday midnight in your timezone, link it here, and I'll offer you an icon of your choice or 100 words in one of my WIPs!

Oh wow, I must be old; I thought everyone knew John Lennon's Starting Over! LOL. Ah, we each have our preferences; it'd be a pretty boring world if we were all the same!

You're not that much older than me. I was just a into the heavier side of rock. AC/DC, Queen, KISS and such. I listened to a bit of others, but... yeah, I wasn't a fan of Lennon's vocals. Most people can't hear it, but there is a burr in his voice when he tries to sing beyond his timbre. *shudders* Work on what you will. You know I write to Challenge myself.

Fair enough! I liked (and still do) all sorts of music, but I was a big Beatles/George Harrison/some Lennon fan, and this was big after he died so it was hard to miss on the radio around here! I quite like his vocals, but then I get what you're saying (not so much about him, but with others) as there are voices I can't stand, like Bowie sometimes (everyone loves him but me, apparently! LOL. It's not on all songs though), and then there's Axl Rose and that guy from the B52s - they are TURN IT OFF RIGHT NOW for me as they annoy me so much!
