Does anyone use a voice recognition program to write? What are your thoughts on that?

I'm working towards my associate degree in Health Information Management and the software we use at school is DragonNaturally Speaking. I have a copy for myself at home, and I've used it to write fic just so I could have more practice with it (the more you use it, the better it gets because it learns your voice). The only drawback for me is that I don't live alone right now and I can't exactly "write" porn when my parents are around. :D Other than that, I do like it because even though I'm a great typist, my fingers still can't keep up with the words sometimes. You don't have to worry about that with voice recognition software.

sometimes. Problem is (for me) I have to talk slow. But I can micro machines speed talk when I get excited

Voice recognition is getting better - i've noticed how much better it is with handling text messages on my new iPhone than on my old one, for instance. So if you're good with doing so, that might be very useful.

Pr0n or not, I never, ever read my own fics out loud -I know it's a good way to catch things and edit, but I ....I just can't. So much that if it were a requirement, 'you can write, but you have to read it out loud...' i'd probably never write anything, ever!

I do sometimes but it's a bit difficult to say names from Sci Fi Shows. For example If I want to mention Ianto from Torchwood it recognizes it as Man to.....I dont even wanna try mentioning Kolya on it XD
