Keeping in Touch - Desert Hearts - 100 words

The school year was upon her and Cay’s photos kept coming in the mail, day after day. Vivian felt guilty for not having the time to correspond the way that she wanted to.

She wanted to write page after page about this city about the things that it could offer Cay, should she ever decide to leave the desert to join her.

She wanted to write about her feelings that hadn’t changed, but the words were hard to come by.

In the end, she settled for a simple picture postcard and wrote on it the words “Wish you were here.”
