Quick question: do you think Supergirl is good? I watched the first episode and am not sure whether to continue. I think I should probably watch it again because I am a comic/Man of Steel nerd so I kept on spotting canon errors. But just wanna see what others think who have watched more.

[identity profile] crookedspoon.livejournal.com 2016-01-10 03:27 am (UTC)(link)
Note, I'm not a Supes fan nor do I care about the Superman family. I started watching Supergirl because a, I anticipated the femslash community to be all over it, and b, because Melissa Benoist is just so adorable. So I cannot judge the canon errors. It's a bright and fun show, though, (disregarding that the romantic angle with the friendzoned bestie and the not quite unrequited crush is a bit tedious because it's so clichéd) and I absolutely the relationship between Kara and Cat Grant. I adore Cat, period. She just gets lovelier and lovelier every episode.

This probably wasn't helpful at all, but if you can stomach the errors, I'd give it another go. I wasn't super enthused after the pilot either, but it really picks up and becomes enjoyable.

No it was helpful. That's what I was looking for. To be honest I don't love the superman family either (but let's not get into that it's a far too long argument for this time in a morning) but I really wanted to know if it is a good story on its own!
Thanks

I take shit Too Seriously. < -- --- --- *points to self*

Yep. Biggest problem in my life, actually. Working on that, but.... it's not easy! Much harder than the coffee to tea transition. ;)

It really isn't! Your need for coffee isn't as intrinsic as taking things too seriously. It's not part of who you are, but something you kind of added to yourself, if that makes sense xD

I love DC, especially the Teen Titans comics and the DCAU! Mind if I add you?
