Passing the daily challenge to shanachie_quill!

Wrote proper fic for the first time in exactly a year (love a good bit of synchronicity!)--the scene's only 330 words, and I'm not sure if it will fit in properly with the WIP as a whole, but I am thrilled to have finally made the transition back into 'real' writing. :)
