I'm going to tell you that this is your call. Which is not that helpful.

My thought on my own writing: If I put time and intention into it, if I ran spell check and edited, if it was more than a drive by post, I would probably lean toward counting it.

What you count is up to you. If you want to keep your count as strictly fic words than we are cool with that. But if you feel that you put effort into things and feel proud of them, you are free to count it.
