RARE PAIRS - January challenge!

It's RARE PAIRS month here!

*insert scrolling dance of joy here*

One of the things that I think worked so well last year for this challenge was people chiming in with suggestions/prompts. I think we are conditioned to think in our preset fav pairing in a fandom. It's possible that the pairing you love is rare, but personally, I'm a bandwagon kinda gal, until someone says something to me like Bucky/(Kate Bishop)Hawkeye I'm not going to be able to see the beauty that it could be.

So, anything goes. Leave a suggestion of a rare pair from a fandom or seven, leave a suggestion of a scenario, leave a prompt, leave an image.

The challenges can be met with written words (min of 1,000) or graphic words (min 5 icons). OR in the spirit of rare pairs, you could work together with someone you've never worked with and give us something twice as nice!

Inquiry:

Do Rare pairs include threesomes?

If two shows/movies are in the same universe, but never appear on screen together (say Xander from BTVS and Lorne from Angel) would they be a rare pair or a crossover?

Oooh, I love this! I'm going to assume that Oliver/Roy in Arrow and Joe/Harrison, plus Barry/Eddie in The Flash might be considered rare pairs, since from what little I can see, Oliver/Felicity and Barry/Iris seem like the more common ones, followed possibly by Oliver/Tommy and Oliver/Slade in Arrow and I don't even know for The Flash.

I'm thinking of writing these rarer pairings though after certain recent scenes I saw in each show, but anyone else can feel free to use them too, if they want!

Yes, I'm gonna say that thresomes fit in just fine here.

That specific example, I'd say good on. While it would technically qualify for both, I'm making the judgement call that same universe will fit the challenge.

If this doesn't make sense, blame it in the nyquil.

Steve/Bucky is much more popular since TWS came out in April... 8544 works on AO3 with that tag... compared to 10,468 on the Steve/Tony tag (which I consider to be super popular and terribly ubiquitous). What do you think, K? (I'm kind of thinking I need to find a new pairing :/ )

Stargate (SG1/SGA), O'Neill/McKay. I've seen a few good Slave!fics with Shepard getting ownership of McKay, and something along the same lines with Jack would be cool. Or Rodney sticks around the SGC after the events of 48 Hours to fix Carter's bad protocols, and Jack slowly and unwillingly gets to like him. (Or you know, doesn't and there's some darkfic after Daniel dies and Jack gets tortured by Ba'al.)

Of course, that is because the fan girls all writing for the Flash are probably young enough to be his daughter and I am not, but whatever....
